The works of Florentine sculptor Marino Marini is housed in San Pancrazio, a church founded before year 1000 and deconsecrated already in 1809. I haven’t been able to find information about the lions guarding the door, but more ancient looking kitties must be hard to find.

Marino Marini worked mainly with two themes, horses and women. I’ll just shut up and show you some of my photos, hoping you get a feel for the beautiful contrast between his sometimes bold shapes and the ancient architecture. The museum is from 1988 btw.
