Three buildings dominate this photo. First from the left Palazzo Vecchio, with its great Torre di Arnolfo. Then the Orsanmichele church/grain market with its whiteframed gothic windows.

And then something in the background that I haven’t seen before. Next time I hope to go there and take a closer look. The new Palace of Justice in the Novoli area. Built on the former Fiat grounds. Finished in January this year.

The Florentines I’ve spoken to hate it. It has certainly changed the skyline of the city, since only the Duomo and the Torre di Arnolfo are higher. Read more about it for instance here.

OK, Perseus is not technically on a wall… But he is not technically a man either, so…
Anyway he’s in the Loggia dei Lanzi… with Medusa’s head… so finally one woman, although vicious and decapitated… 😉
